Located in York University’s busiest food court, “The Market” Vending Centre is host to a variety of merchants all year round. From jewelry to clothing, posters to cell phones, students can choose from a wide variety of products and services, suitable to every need.

York University boasts a population of 55,000 students; staff and faculty, and “The Market” provides variety of products and services. Always changing, always new, “The Market” offers the experience of Downtown shopping with the convenience of being on campus.

Consisting of twelve large spaces the vending area offers a variety of products to meet student needs. The south wall is composed of nine booths set into five alcoves. These alcoves are surrounded on three sides by glass and look out into the student walkway. Across the aisle, the remaining three tables rest against a low wall dividing the vending centre from the food court. Each space includes a permanent six-foot long table, and the possibility of space for a standing rack if necessary.

One booth at “The Market” Vending Centre has been designated for Student Vendors. To be eligible for the student booth, the vendor must be a current York University student and present a valid form of I.D. or York Student Card along with a valid student sessional card. The student must be present at all times during booth rental.

†CORPORATE VENDORS YUSC classifies Corporate Vendors being those larger companies such as Business Depot, Bell Mobility or MBNA Canada etc or any promotional companies supplying demos, samples or promotions for a particular product or service.

‡ STUDENT VENDORS To be eligible for the student rate, the vendor must be a current York University student and present a valid form of I.D. and York Student Card. The student must be present at all times during the booth rental.
